About the Club
The Football Club was formed as Greenan Colts Football Club in September 2012 by Ewen Forsyth and Richard Gillespie. 8 children were present at the first training session at Doonfoot Primary School on a Saturday morning. The Club quickly grew to include around 30 children and moved to Cambusdoon Sports Club in Alloway to accommodate this growth. In 2016, the club changed its name to Cambusdoon Football Club and now has a membership of 450 male and female members at the time of writing. It is a fully inclusive club, open to all.
It's also an SFA Quality Mark Standard Club. All of our coaches PVG approved and encouraged to achieve SFA standard qualifications, with their coaching courses being funded by the Club, plus we have additional Coach Assistants who are encouraged to progress along the SFA's Coach Pathway. In total we have around 100 volunteer Coaches and Coach Assistants who give their time to deliver coaching session and games for all of our teams. We also have a Walking Football section for the Over 50s and for more info on that click here
